About

Jenna is a Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working with a range of ages, from adolescents through to the elderly, and a wide range of mental health concerns. She has a particular interest in working with mood and anxiety disorders, burnout, trauma and grief, eating disorders, and both paternal and maternal mental health support. Jenna works predominantly within the following therapeutic frameworks: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy; Interactional Pattern Analysis; and an Integrative Brain-Based Approach to therapy.

Jenna has a strong belief in the saying “there is no health without mental health”. She therefore focuses on equipping clients with the necessary skills to cope more effectively with life’s known challenges (including work, general life stress, health, relationships, and ‘season of life’ adjustments) and to work with each individual client holistically.

Jenna has had experience in both the public and private health sectors. She completed her internship at Fort Napier and Town Hill hospitals, followed by her community service at Wentworth hospital. These settings included inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy, family and social support, community mental health services at clinics, and working with a team of healthcare professionals in all these settings. Jenna then opened her private practice in Durban North in 2018 and relocated her practice to Salt Rock at the beginning of 2022 after moving to the area.
